Rabbi Paulette R. Posner graduated from the Jewish Theological Seminary and has served as a rabbi in a variety of settings, including education and chaplaincy. She completed a fellowship in Mental Health Chaplaincy at the NY Harbor VA. Rabbi Paulette is a Spiritual Care Counselor for Visiting Nurse Service, Hospice; in this role she provides emotional support and dignity for patients and families who are approaching end of life. She is the lead author of “Religion and Spirituality Among Medical Students” in Medical Student Well-Being: An Essential Guide (Springer, 2019). She received her board certification from the National Association of Jewish Chaplains in 2016. She lives in New York with her three amazing sons.
Cantor Kidron is a proud member of the Cantors Assembly. She served as the Senior Cantor at Bet Shira Congregation of South Miami and as the Assistant Cantor at the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, where she led services and cantorial concerts, supervised the B’nei Mitzvah programs and created successful and innovative young and adult educational programs. Through music, Cantor Kidron aspires to convey the power of Judaism and to open hearts to new spiritual insights. Whether chanting a prayer, singing a Yiddish lullaby or leading a familiar Israeli song, she desires a connection with each listener that allows the music in our hearts to be in perfect harmony.
Cantor Kidron is a unique and versatile vocalist who appears internationally. Recent engagements include: soloist with the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra in Ukraine, featuring a new Jewish music composition, performing with the Ludwig Symphony in Atlanta and several appearances with the Pacific Opera group in Carnegie Hall. Ms. Kidron appeared on “Kol Be’isha Arev”, “ a Voice of a Woman,” an international religious music documentary sharing the story of female cantors from around the world. She is the lead singer for the Sheba Ensemble, an innovative all female Jewish music ensemble that tours worldwide and leads inspirational concerts.
Ms. Kidron received her Master of Music at the Manhattan School of Music and her Bachelor in Music at the Rubin High Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. Israeli born, she was praised by the New York Times as a “ fresh and likable voice” for her title role of “Beauty” in Spohr’s Opera Beauty and the Beast. Ms. Kidron is a winner of the David Whitcomb Foundation Award for Promising Young Soloists as well as the Sharon Tavor Award for singers with Orchestra.
